Booking of a ticket or tickets for the St. Edmund Hall Ball on 28 April 2012 (hereafter referred to as "the event") is not confirmed until the person making the booking has received a confirmation email from tickets@teddyhallball.co.uk with the line "Receipt of payment for St. Edmund Hall Ball" in the subject field.
No refunds, under any circumstances, will be available once this email has been sent. While this e-mail provides confirmation of the booking, it does not confer the right of entry to the event. Right to entry is subject to the conditions below.
If the Ball or any aspect of the Ball has to be cancelled or curtailed owing to unforeseeable circumstances or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, no part of the ticket price will be refunded.
Admittance will not be granted unless proof of identification - namely University Card ('Bod card') or driving licence or passport - is shown on arrival, at which point a wristband to be worn for the duration of the event will be provided to each attendee. Attendees are required to show this band to any member of the St Edmund Hall Ball Committee or security staff who request to see it. As per the conditions of our license, all attendees are required to be 18 years old or over on the day of the Ball.
There will be no readmittance.
Persons who appear to be intoxicated on arrival at the event will be refused entry.
In the case in which a member of St Edmund Hall has booked a ticket for a guest along with their own, that guest will only be admitted if accompanied by the member who made the booking. Members of St Edmund Hall who book a ticket for a guest will be held responsible for the actions of that guest throughout the evening.
Members of St. Edmund Hall exhibiting disruptive, aggressive or rude behaviour while queuing to enter or once inside the event will be handled by the Decanal staff on a case-by-case basis but will certainly be refrained from taking part in the remainder of the event.
Those individuals who are not members of St. Edmund Hall exhibiting disruptive, aggressive or rude behaviour while queuing to enter or once inside the event will be refused entry or will be removed from the premises and will not be re-admitted under any circumstances.
All attendees of the ball are required to vacate their rooms before 12pm on the afternoon of the 7th of May 2010 and not return their rooms until the end of the event. When re-entering the college, they will be required to present their university cards before returning to their rooms.
Acceptable attire is Black Tie, White Tie or national dress or appropriately themed formal dress. Sports blazers are not permitted.
The St Edmund Hall Ball Committee has a zero tolerance policy towards ball crashing. Anyone caught attempting to enter the Ball without a valid ticket, or anyone suspected of aiding anyone attempting to enter the Ball without a valid ticket, will be removed from the premises and may have their full details provided to the committees of all other Balls.
All such behaviour will be followed up after the event.
Security personnel, Decanal staff and the Ball President have the right to ask any attendees to leave at any point during the evening if they deem that the attendee is behaving inappropriately. No refunds will be given in these instances.
Bar staff have the right to refuse to serve any attendees they deem as intoxicated at any point in the evening.
The Committee will not be responsible for any injurious act of persons attending the Ball unless such act was foreseeable and should have been avoided by due care and diligence by the Committee.
